Q3: Why does my DC isolator switch still show current when it’s turned off?
Normally, when a 1500V disconnect switch is turned off, it disconnects the main DC circuit and stops the operating current.
If your meter still shows a small current or voltage, it doesn’t always mean the isolator switch is faulty. This can happen because the inverter may still contain stored energy, long PV cables can create a small induced signal, or connected equipment may have a small leakage current.
